Rehydration therapy refers to the administration of fluids in order to treat dehydration. Rehydration therapy can be administered either orally or intravenously. This is depending on the condition been treated or the severity of dehydration. Oral rehydration therapy is mostly used when the dehydration is mild. On the other hand, intravenous rehydration therapy is administered when the dehydration is severe. Both these therapies require that water mixed with small amounts of sugars or salt be administered to the patient’s body. Oral rehydration therapies can be self-administered at home while for intravenous rehydration therapies, one has to be assisted by a medical practitioner.

Other Therapies

There are many other therapies from which one may benefit from. Some of these therapies are;

  • Glutathione therapy – This therapy involves the intravenous administration of glutathione. Also, it may be administered by taking a dose of gh3 supplement. This therapy is mostly used as an antioxidants and to detoxify the body. It does this by suppressing any free radicals in the body. Some of the benefits of this therapy includes treatment of old age symptoms and skin lightening.
  • Moxibustion – Moxibustion therapy refers to a form of traditional chinese medicine Miami that utilizes burning mugwort. The burning mugwort is placed on acupuncture points in order to restore a balance in the flow of energy. This therapy is mostly used for the treatment of colds.
  • Acupuncture – Acupuncture is also a therapy that originates from the traditional Chinese medicine. During the therapy very fine needles are placed at the meridians of the body. It is believed that this will restore the flow of energy. Acupuncture is mostly used to relieve pain.

Conclusion

All these therapies have one thing in common, they not only aim at curing the disease, rather, they aim at restoring health to a whole person. This means that they achieve health of the body, spirit and mind. However, when choosing to undergo these therapies it is important that you seek advice from your physician first. Also, ensure that the practitioner who is bound to administer them is experienced and certified. This will help prevent the side effects that are associated with poor or wrongful administration. I would advise that these therapies be used along with other conventional or alternative treatments to achieve maximum benefits. Also, they may help reduce the side effects of conventional treatments.
