Insulin potentiation therapy (IPT) is a particularly experimental treatment in the alternative medicine category. Insulin potentiation therapy treats cancer and other such chronic degenerative diseases by utilizing insulin to supplement low-dose chemotherapy. Insulin potentiation therapy is similar to a cancer patient taking High doses vitamin C. Specifically, IPT uses doses of insulin to increase the absorption of membranes in diseased and damaged cells, thus increasing the absorption of therapeutic agents. When IPT treats cancer alongside chemotherapy, insulin is injected into the vein first, followed by the chemotherapy.

Other Beneficial therapies

Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy, also known as PEMF treatment, is a great treatment used as a reparative technique. The stimulation it causes signals the brain to heal the area quicker and increase blood flow. It’s been known to heal torn tissue and broken bones, and even treat depression. The stimulation against the cranium tells the brain to heal itself, and patients can often feel more relaxed and positive afterwards.

Stem cell injections are a great therapy that also regenerate cells. Stem cell injections for arthritis work with aching joints to heal and regenerate worn tissue that cause pain in joints.

Other therapies can include:

  • Acupuncture – From Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture can work with the body’s energy or life force.
  • Aromatherapy – Smells and fragrances can evoke feelings, thoughts, and memories. Certain smells can be linked to relaxation, happiness, or even energy.
  • Holotropic Breathwork – A therapy for self exploration and self healing. Deals with spiritual and psychological healing. Reorganizing your own energy and so on.
  • Chelation Therapy – A series of IV injections of a man-made amino acid EDTA, detoxing the body and treating some diseases.
  • Dowsing – A focus on our intuition of knowing where things are that cannot be seen.

Side Effects

Talk to your doctor before trying insulin potentiation therapy to see if IPT is right for you. Contact a specialist center to find out more about IPT. Insulin potential therapy may not be right for patients with a certain type of diabetes. The use of low-dose chemotherapy can assist in the development of drug resistance which makes future treatments at normal doses become ineffective. For certain types of cancer, such as colon and breast cancer, insulin can promote tumor growth. This can be dangerous for cancer patients, and ultimately not worth the treatment. While the treatment is recognized as an effective treatment, no alternative treatment is scientifically proven.
