This therapy is used by doctors to treat a number of chronic diseases. These disease are diabetes, lyme disease, heart problems, hepatitis, herpes, chemical sensitivity, colitis and auto immune diseases. Ozone is a oxygen composed of three type of oxygen atoms. Ozone is a powerful oxygen with healing medical properties.

History of Ozone Used in Medical Treatments and Side Effects

Ozone Therapy was first developed in Germany during the 1950’s. It is a common treatment used in Europe. It has been used in the United States for treatment, on a limited basis, over the last 25 years. Ozone is made in the cells naturally as part of white cell production. The therapy is only used by doctors trained in how to administer the different type of ozone treatments.

Ozone side effects that occur during treatment for illness are listed below. These symptoms are mild and should pass quickly leading to improved health.

  • burning eyes
  • coughing
  • naseua
  • vomiting
  • gas cramps

This therapy is designed to help improve blood cells from clogging and improve circulation. Ozone kills viruses, bacteria and fungus. When administered, ozone helps detoxify the liver and slow down the aging process.

The Types of Therapy Available

MAH is one of the most common types of therapy used. The patient relaxes in a chair in an IV room. About 150-25 ml of blood are removed into a IV bag. Ozone is injected into the bag and shaken so that the red and white blood cells will absorb it. It is injected back into the patient via an IV drip. This takes about 30 minute to an hour.

Another form of therapy is ultra violet light irradiation. In this process, blood is taken from the patient, and mixed with ozone that is exposed to photon light. The blood is returned to the patient’s body. Hocott ozone treatment is similar to sitting in a sauna. The person sits in a cabinet while their body is exposed to ozone, carbon dioxide, steam, photo light, and oxygen.

Prolozone ozone treatment is a therapy where a solution is injected into a ligament in the site near the bone. It is used to heal damaged tissue, joints, and tendons. After that site is injected with ozone to help further healing. Often this take 3-5 treatments.
