Homeopathy is a form of medical treatment that uses a substance that is similar to a disease to treat that specific condition. For example, a flu shot contains the flu virus and it is given to people in small amounts so that a person’s immune system can build up a defense against this respiratory illness. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann was a German physician who created the principles of homeopathy. He figured out the principles behind homeopathy which became a huge advancement in medication until the early 20th century. Homeopathy went out of favor with more medical and scientific discoveries but it has currently made a resurgence in 21st century.

Uses for Homeopathy Treatment

Homeopathy treatments are often used by orthopedic physicians, chiropractors, herbalists and by veterinarians. Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy or PEMF is a field that is used to help alleviate the symptoms depression and it is also used for healing non-union fractures, failed fusions and congenital pseudarthrosis. PEMF treatment is a form of homeopathy and so is stem cell injection therapy. Stem cell therapy works by using stem cells or mother cells to develop to fight off certain forms of cancer or other types of conditions. Homeopathy is also used for treating different minor conditions that are debilitating but are not life threatening. The following conditions can all be treated with homeopathy.

The Resurgence of Homeopathy Treatment

Homeopathy treatment went out of favor in the early 20th century. However, they became popular once again during the early 21st century. The rise is pharmaceutical drug use and their long term impact on the human body is what caused medical researchers and physicians to consider homeopathy therapy treatments once again. Western medicine typically uses scientific and researched principles for medical treatment. Medical professionals from the west have take homeopathy theories and altered them to fit this style of medicine. Altering homeopathy principles with a scientific approach makes this type of treatment more practical and effective when healing patients. Many doctors are taking to this cure as an alternative to prescribing prescription drugs. Patients are also adjusting to this form of treatment. Many of them do not want the build up or side effects of pharmaceutical drugs in their body.
