Why are medical professionals exploring alternative therapies for disease? In general terms; because of oxidation. The simple definition to oxidation means the loss of elections. Some elements lose elections more easily that others. Some elements that lose elections easily are sodium, iron and magnesium. When elements undergo the oxidation process their structure is changed, often to a weakened state. Oxidation usually occurs along with reduction, which is the process of gaining elections; often stolen from other atoms or compounds. This oxidation and reduction is called ‘redox’.
- In the human body oxidation, or redox, results in gradual cellular decay and eventually disease.
- The human body has developed a mechanism to mitigate this cellular decay using a compound called glutathione, which is produced by the body from amino acids. Glutathione is a super detoxifier and antioxidant. Glutathione can help protect every cell in the body.
- A promising medical treatment uses glutathione injected directly into the veins of patients, know as IV glutathione.
Is IV Glutathione treatment is safe?
Glutathione injections can be used to treat many diseases such as the toxic effects of treatments for cancer, such as chemotherapy. Glutathione can be used to treat the blood of kidney patients undergoing dialysis treatments. IV glutathione can also be used to treat diabetes, infertility and more. IV glutathione helps protect the human body from damage caused by free radicals, reduced the build up of platinum in kidneys and helps remove heavy metals from the body. Many treatments for diseases have side effects that are worse than the disease itself. Luckily, IV glutathione side effects are virtually non existent.
What other safe treatments are being used?
Another promising treatment for disease is IV vitamin C. Just as it sounds, vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is injected directed into the veins of patients in high doses. IV vitamin C side effects are very low and mostly non-existent up to doses as high as 150,000mg. Some additional stress on the body can occur if used in levels above this. Dosing should be determined on a patient by patient level. IV vitamin is commonly used in treatment of the effects of radiation and chemotherapy, supporting the body and reducing the negative effects of cancer treatment.
Another bold approach
One other treatment to disease is called platelet rich plasma, shortened PHP. PHP is blood plasma which has been enhanced with autologous platelets, which help the body heal soft tissue and bone. PRP therapy gained popularity in the 1990s and is used in many medical fields like dentistry, cosmetic surgery and pain management.
All of these treatments look very promising in the treatment and management of disease itself and to the common side effects of traditional treatments themselves.
